Casey McGinness is a 2019 OF/C/IF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Lakeside Park, KY who attends Covington Catholic HS. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Projects for additional size and strength with continued physical development. Ran a 7.07 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball and working through transition. Clean glove actions while funneling, creates slight arm back at separation. Releases with a high energy arm action that creates some on line carry to the bag at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and high back elbow set. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact. Hands launch on a compact, direct path to contact generating a line drive plane through extension. Flashed good hand and barrel control through the hitting zone allowing for all fields contact throughout batting practice. Good student as well.
