Tyler Davidson is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Thomas Jefferson. Large frame with projection. Shows a tight, 3/4 arm slot from the mound. Has a loose, out front arm action that works towards firstbase side. Creates a coiled front side and shows numbers at balance. Tendency to vary direction of stride on offering. Effectively works the fastball down in the zone ranging from 77-80mph. Curveball shows 10/5 shape that was often down in the zone and topped at 68 mph. Curveball showed best bite at the top of velo band. Flashed a changeup topping at 68 mph. Has a tendency to slow arm actions on offspeed offerings. Good student as well.
