Hayden Luff is a 2016 OF/1B/RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Thousand Oaks, CA who attends Agoura HS. XL frame with good present strength, will continue to fill out with excellent projection. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Hits from spread stance with limited shift and noisy hands pre-swing, good balance through hitting mechanics, turns the barrel well and generates good strength, hands work well into swing, could see increase in power with more utilization of lower half into swing. Worked out defensively in the outfield, coordinated movements to and through the ball, profiles well in RF. Fields cleanly, shows good arm strength up to 85 MPH with consistent accuracy. Pitched as well, long and lean build, gets on top of pitches well and power downhill, shorter arm action to high three quarters slot. Generates good plane to plate, FB worked 80-82 and touched 83 with slight arm side life. Has feel to spin CB with good deception out of hand, good depth to pitch. Commanded pitches well to bottom of zone. Named to 2015 West Uncommitted Top Prospect List. Good student.
