Donavan Tate is a 2009 OF with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Cartersville, GA who attends Cartersville. Tate is about as athletic as they come. He has a strong athletic build and all the tools. He has fluid actions in the outfield and big time arm strength that was gunned at 95mph. He also uses his 6.34 speed to cover a lot of ground. He has excellent bat speed at the plate and the ball explodes off his bat. He gets good leverage in his swing and the ball jumps to all fields. He really projects at the plate with fast twitch actions. As he continues to make more consistent solid contact at the plate watch out. Big power potential. To top it off he got on the mound and bumped 91 mph on the hill. Tate is a 5 tool prospect and one of the top 2009's in the country to follow. He is also a good student. Aflac All American
