Dawson Vaughn is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends East Paulding HS. Large, strong body with broad shoulders. Physical presence on mound, uses a high tempo delivery. Able to locate fastball down in zone and mix in curveballs with 12/6 shape. Rare use of knuckleball that keeps hitters honest. Right handed hitter, uses the entire field in his approach. Open stance and high hand set, could generate more power and better utilize strength with increased lower half use. Also flashes some solid arm strength in the field while playing corner infield positions. Excellent student.
