Brad Hook is a 2008 1B/P with a 6'0'', 205 lb. frame from Franklin, IN who attends Franklin Community HS. He has a very strong, mature build and looks taller than he's listed at. Hook is a very advanced hitter with all the tools to be a middle of the order run producer at the upper levels. He's patient and balanced to the ball and has the ability to explode his hands to contact. He has more of a line drive swing right now but his line drives carry a long way and he should develop plenty of loft power in the future. In scout's terminology, Hook is a "pitch hunter", he's looking for a pitch to drive hard and can really square up. Hook is a very good athlete for his size/strength. He ran a 6.97 in the 60 and has fluid actions around the first base bag and soft hands. A team looking to stack a lineup could easily move him to left field.
