2015 Pitcher Catcher Indoor Showcase
Owen Starr is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Bourbonnais, IL who attends Bradley-Bourbonnais HS. Slender young square shouldered build, lots of room to get stronger. Fast paced leg raise delivery, compact arm action, some drop and drive to the plate, has energy at release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets big running and boring action at times, can improve fastball command to utilize off-speed pitches more effectively. Maintains arm speed on his change up very well, nice pitch with deception. Sweeping curveball has good spin and tightness to it at times. Three solid pitches and he should keep improving with additional strength.
