Josuan Lopez is a 2016 OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Aguada, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean and projectable build with room to fill out, full of quick-twitch muscle. Outstanding runner, posted a 6.65 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, footwork through the ball will continue to develop, works over front side well, full arm action with effort at release, shows accuracy on throws to intended base. Lefthanded hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and hands away from body. Upper body swing, line drive swing plane and shows ability to drive the ball to pull side. Looks to lift, short and direct swing path with line drive contact to middle of field, gets on to front side early but able to still get barrel to ball. Good student.
