Stone Schloss is a 2016 1B/3B, C with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Reisterstown, MD who attends IMG Academy. Large frame with good physicality and strength throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.93 seconds. Hits from semi-wide stance and slightly open, hands tucked close into body, mid-length stride with slight leg lift trigger. Early, heavy rotation turns approach to pull-field. Flat, line drive swing plane with ability to barrel pitches middle-in. Has strength off the barrel when squared. Worked out defensively at several positions. Stays down on the ball well and flashes ability to field cleanly at 1B and IF, leans weight forward into throws, consistently accurate across the diamond. Caught as well, extended release with extended footwork and transfer after reception, showed accuracy on throws down to 2B. Very good student.
