Kevin Cardentey is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends South Dade Senior HS. Small framed athlete with plenty of room to grow and mature physically that brings energy to the field. Average runner. Worked out on the infield and showed good actions. Quick first step, worked around and through the ball, and put himself in a good fielding position. Smooth transition to throwing hand and threw accurately to the bag. At the plate he has a square stance and simple mechanics. Starts the swing with gather to rear leg, stride separates to strong launch position, with a quick lower half. Works up to the ball and showed strength off the barrel hitting the ball to the middle of the field. Outstanding student.
