Shane Carroll is a 2023 3B/RHP, SS, MIF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends West Forsyth. Primary third baseman with a medium high-waist frame and slender build. Recorded a 7.35 second 60-yard dash time. Works through the ball in the infield with arm strength across at 80 mph. Accurate throws with a quick release from a solid two-hand gather and exchange out front while carrying his weight through the throwing process. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a higher lift from the stretch position. Slightly closed off front side with a medium arm circle behind and high posture before getting down the slope. Ran the fastball up to 78 mph with a curveball in the low-60s. Athletic actions in the outfield with quick feet and momentum to the bases with throws up to 81 mph. Right-handed hitter with a high back elbow slot and open base. Leg-lift trigger with backside load from a unique starting point. Middle-of-the-field approach with line drives to the gaps. Works best when he stays behind the ball with impact out front to the pull side. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
