Chad Bryant is a 2017 RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Thomasville, AL who attends Thomasville HS. Strong broad shouldered build. Very good use of his lower half to generate power to the plate, gets his hips coiled and back on line on time, fast and loose arm, high 3/4's arm slot, gets on top of the ball and creates good angle to the plate. Very good fastball, topped out at 94 mph, fastball mostly straight but will get some cutting action glove side. Mid-70's curveball, fair spin with occasional 11/5 shape, has a sound arm action for a curveball but just not on top and out front of it yet. Development of off-speed pitches will be key in his development as the arm strength is there. Verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
