David Hobbs is a 2019 C/3B, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Gallatin, TN who attends Pope John Paul II. Medium build, lean frame with lots of room to fill. Ran a 7.77 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle set, low stance, gets out of crouch with developing exchange quickness, throws from a compact 3/4 arm slot, 2.19 pop. Righthanded hitter, wide base, slightly crouched and slightly open stance, high hand set with a high back elbow, simple toe tap trigger, balanced swing throughout with a rotational lower half, short and direct hand path to baseball, line drive barrel plane. showed some feel for the barrel with the ability to work to all fields. Great student.
