Jousiry Perez is a 2016 3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR. Nice projectable athletic build, long and loose with athletic actions. 6.82 runner, works through the ball well on defense, stays low to the ball and has soft hands, light on his feet, short and quick exchange and release, has the physical tools to play in the middle of the infield but may eventually outgrow it. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base but gets to his front side, simple timer and shift, swing length not consistent yet but can stay short and make hard pull side line drive contact, has a good feel for the barrel. Key to development will be getting stronger and continued offensive improvement.
