Luke Swiney is a 2024 C/IF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Dalton, GA who attends Coahulla Creek. Tall, athletic frame with wiry strength. Recorded a 7.30 sixty. Left-handed hitter, starts slightly open with a low hand set. Rotational swing with direct barrel path, looks to impact out front. Showed feel for the barrel, collected a base hit to the pull-side in game. Primary catcher, works from a side saddle setup with efficient exchange, short arm action and high three-quarters release. Athletic actions behind the plate with a solid arm. Throws up to 72 mph. Secondary infielder, has rhythm in the hands with range to both sides. Solid actions, changing arm angles well with throws up to 78 mph. Good student.
