Matt Heavner is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Lincolnton, NC who attends North Lincoln. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short and direct swing, low tension swing with very good bat speed and quick hands, simple and well timed and very repeatable, high barrel to ball skills with some gap power coming in the future. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Speed plays up defensively in the games, has active quick feet and positions himself well, arm strength played very well in the games and he showed the ability to make the long throw from the hole. Polished player with tools and skills. Very good student with a verbal commitment to North Carolina State. Named to the Spring Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
