Nicholas Jones is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope. Showcased a medium build with an athletic look. Physical strength starting to appear. Ran a 7.29 second sixty yard dash. Primary Lefthanded pitcher working exclusively out of the stretch. Utilizes his legs well while staying balanced at all times. Worked with a three-quarter arm slot staying down in the zone. Got ahead in the count early. Got plenty of groundballs. Fastball topping out at 75 mph with a curveball, changeup mix to keep hitters off balance. Changeup proved to be more advanced. Secondary Outfielder moving quickly to the baseball showing athletic movements. Low effort, easy release with a full arm action. Secondary Firstbaseman fielding the baseball out front with a clean gather. Whippy arm action with throws on the money showing carry. Great feel for the position. Lefthanded hitter starting from an open stance. Compact swing with an uphill swing path looking to lift the baseball. Middle away type approach finding the barrel often. Patient approach.
