Ryan Cross is a 2021 3B/RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Sprayberry. Tall and lean frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.40 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with athletic movements, glove works well and moves well for his size, actions play at his primary third base position well but shows actions in the dirt, throws from multiple arm angles well and has average arm strength up to 82 mph across. Secondary right-handed pitcher, uptempo delivery with good balance, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, creates a downward plane to the plate, fastball topped out at 82 mph and works to the lower third of the zone, fastball has life, mixes in a curveball with 11-5 shape and good depth. Right-handed hitter, wide stance with a high hand set in the box, takes a toe tap trigger into contact for timing, dips hands into contact, downhill swing plane with extension through contact, will need to make adjustments to timing for added barrel ability.
