2021 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Garrett Arrington is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-3 155 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Whitewater. He showed good speed with a 6.92 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a lean wiry frame. On the mound he uses a belt high leg lift with a long smooth arm action working up to a high three-quarters arm slot with good arm speed as he threw the fastball at 89-86 mph with short arm side run. The curveball tunneled well off the fastball in the low 70's with slurvy actions landing for strikes and keeping hitters honest. In the outfield he showed the same arm strength topping out at 86 mph with feel for the actions and accurate low tosses. Right-handed hitter, starts even with a big leg lift as the hands drop into the load creating some separation, the bat speed is still developing but he did show some strength at the point of contact with some jump off the barrel when he gets extended through the ball. Very good student. Named to the 2021 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
