JD Suarez is a 2021 SS/2B with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build width room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and shows athleticism to action, moves well laterally and remains light on feet, works through the backhand well, occasionally gets uphill with release, arm strength will continue to develop, can drop slot on throws across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; upper body dominant swing and can incorporate additional lower half into swing. Long and loose swing through the zone, uses hands well and remains linear through the zone. Contact oriented approach, consistent contact to pull side, carries well off the barrel when squared and projects well with added strength Very good student.
