Rocco Arguto is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Pueblo West, CO who attends Pueblo West. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders, long limbs and a present, well proportioned strength throughout build. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works with an up-tempo delivery with high energy. Even leg lift to belt, does a nice job of repeating delivery, works from a three-quarter arm slot and showed ability to locate in the zone. Fastball topped at 83 mph and showed cutting life with a short arm action in back. Curveball showed hard, late depth and 12-6 shape at 70 mph and located well to glove side. Similar arm strength from the outfield, short and quick arm action, gets on top well and delivers accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and hands away from body. Pulls hands back in load, generates line drive contact and shows a nice feel for the barrel. Occasionally gets onto front side early but shows carry to centerfield and projects well. Excellent student.
