Alex Whiteside is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Marietta. Medium, athletic build with present strength especially in the lower half. Good runner, ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, even and squared base with high hands in the stance, front foot gets down early with a short stride out into contact, hand speed really shined with strength in the hands as well. Ball comes off easy with strength to both sides and flashed ability to get the bat extended. Primary catcher, athleticism shines, quick out of the crouch with natural ability to receive, side saddled setup and stays low throughout, compact arm action to a high three-quarters slot. Gets on top of throws and generates carry to the bag, recorded throws up to 76 mph and a pop-time of 2.01. Tremendous student.
