Ewan Whinnery is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Goodlettsville, TN who attends Lipscomb Academy. Recorded a 7.52 second 60 yard dash time. Primary catcher with a compact and low set up. Short arm action, shows solid fundamentals and footwork, gains ground with balance. Got much better as he settled in, made accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and even hand set. Toe tap trigger, hands stay tight to the body and connected to the back shoulder. Segmented operation overall, gets tied up at times, at his best when simplifying and staying to the middle of the field. Great student.
