Ira Jefferies is a 2024 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Atlanta. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Ran a 6.84 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, lots of athleticism in actions and footwork stands out in the dirt, shows lateral range to either side, hands work out front at the ball and shows quickness in funnel/transfer, shorter arm action on throws across the diamond with some carry. Switch hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate right-handed, really gets separated in swing and looks to generate leverage at the point of contact, incorporates lower half well into swing and shows quickness to bat through the zone with strength to pull side. Turns the barrel over well left-handed, creates jump to the pull side with some intriguing present juice, long and loose path with some uphill to finish through point of contact. Good student. Verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.
