2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Hunter Marsh is a 2020 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hoschton, GA who attends Winder-Barrow HS. Recorded a 7.46 second 60-yard dash time. Strong and physical frame with broad shoulders and room for additional strength. Primary third baseman with deliberate actions and clean glove skills. Fluid actions to the ball to either side. Solid arm strength recorded up to 84 mph across. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a big rocker step and a leg lift at the waist. Compact delivery with few moving parts. Short stride online toward the plate and finishes upright. Short stride with good rhythm and tempo. Fills up the strike zone with a quick, tight arm circle. Tight three-quarters release and creates good angle toward the plate. Curveball has good depth and 11/5 breaking action; maintains similar arm speed on the pitch. Arm speed stands out and projects nicely. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and lower hand set. Has present bat speed with an inside path to contact. Creates whip to the barrel and has lots of strength through the point of extension. Named to the 2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase.
