2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Aiden Garrity is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Santa Rosa Beach, FL who attends South Walton. Recorded a 7.17 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame with room to fill. Primary left-handed pitcher with a mechanically sound delivery, comes from an over the top slot. Real high leg lift, some funk to the delivery, creates a tough angle and gets in on the hands. Sharp breaker with 1-7 shape and bite when he gets on top of it, shows changeup as well, blends all 3 together. Doesn't always finish through on release, causes him to miss up in the zone. Best when working to the glove side, fields his position well. Added strength will be the biggest piece. Secondary outfielder with a long wind up and arm action, small crow hop with accurate throws. Carries best when he gets out front and carries momentum through the throw. Left-handed hitter with a narrow and slightly open stance. Deep hand set with a toe tap trigger, gets the bat in the zone early. Shows feel for the barrel and an opposite field approach, developing strength. Excellent student.
