Preston Wright is a 2024 OF/2B, SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Ellenwood, GA who attends Stockbridge. Medium, athletic build with some room to continue adding strength. Great runner, ran a 6.67 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, under control on the charge, choppy steps getting to the spot, fields it with one hand on the side of the body with obvious feel for the leather, carries momentum through release, full arm swing to a three-quarters slot. Obvious athleticism, throws come out of the hand well with true flight and carry to the bag. Good arm strength, recorded throws up to 85 mph. Switch hitter, even base with high hands in the stance, similar setup from both sides. Loose right-handed swing with impact to the middle of the field and a line drive approach, showed good control of the barrel. Left-handed swing has more lift and solid bat-to-ball skills, hands work well and has solid bat speed and whip to the barrel. Lot of things to like about both swings. Named to 2023 Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
