2023 National Showcase
Cooper Johnson is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Jefferson, GA who attends Mountain View. Tall and long athletic build with good present strength and room for plenty more. Left handed hitter, has good balance in his swing from an upright start, pull approach with good extension and lift through contact, hits under control and uses his leverage and strength well, gets some hip rotation into his swing, lots of projection as a hitter. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has very smooth actions and easy athleticism in his actions, arm really works well, should be plenty capable of playing corner outfield with these tools. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
