Ben Hays is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Lambert. He ran a 7.27 second sixty. A primary short stop with an average build. On the infield he looked solid going left as he shuffles into his throws getting off solid throws with a shorter arm action and good athleticism making plays on the move. On the mound he starts with a small side step into a belt high leg lift with a simple average arm action up to a high three-quarters arm slot, he mixed in harder curveball well with his fastball at 79-81 mph using the two pitch mix to keep hitters off balance as both pitches showed good movement creating weak contact. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base and the weight shifted on the back side using a small stride into contact, he showed flashes of bat speed with a lofted path using the middle of the field well with some hard hit line drives. Good student. Named to the 2021 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
