Brian Hough is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 5-8 200 lb. frame from Howell, NJ who attends Notre Dame. Recorded a 6.19 second 40-yd dash time. Smaller frame with thick lower half and room to physically mature. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set. Uses a side-saddle set up and very deliberate catch-n-throw actions to produce online throws with developing arm strength. Overall catching tool will improve with added refinement of mechanics and strength. Right-handed hitter with an even base, high hand set and leg lift trigger for timing. Incorporates a high, circular hand load, occasional hip/shoulder separation and flat swing path. Contact oriented stroke with decently consistent bat-to-ball skills, with loudest impact occurring to the pull-side gap. Will improve with proper swing adjustments. Good Student.
