Luke Garner is a 2023 C/ with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Locust Grove, GA who attends Locust Grove. Medium frame with some strength present. Ran an 8.20 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate in a side saddle starting position, receives the baseball out in front with developing hands, comes through the baseball with young footwork, will continue to improve arm strength with added reps and an online release, 2.34 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance and a high hand set, shifts some weight into contact, takes an inside hand path to the baseball, strength present at the plate with raw mechanics, bat speed will improve with additional strength to frame, middle to opposite field approach with the ability to execute it.
