Branton Swanner is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-2 225 lb. frame from Oklahoma City, OK who attends Carl Albert. Swanner has thick build with broad slopping shoulders. Hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand high back elbow set up. Pull approach with good extension. Consistent pull side contact and flashed power potential. Defensively, primary catcher, low 3/4 release. Footwork is developing behind the plate. At first base, fields out front, accurate throws to both 3B and 2nd base. Outstanding Student.
