Misael Cantu is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions behind the plate and a low and flexible set up, receives well with soft hands, lower half athleticism and fundamentals are solid in his blocking and throwing, has some arm strength and makes accurate on line throws to the bases, polished defensive catcher. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with some lower half shift into contact, midfield to pull side approach, has some looseness to his hands along with some bat speed and flashed the ability to get the ball to jump. Well rounded set of skills and tools for a young catcher. Very good student.
