Timothy Haynes is a 2024 3B/RHP, C with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran an 8.49 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, graded out best on the mound this look. Begins delivery with a side step moving into a leg lift up past belt with a slight coil at top of delivery, long leg swing coming down the mound and can continue to incorporate additional drive down the mound. Longer arm action through the back, generates some whip at release. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, creates occasional running life to fastball with sinking action and filled up the zone. Shows comfort mixing his pitches, short and tight curveball with depth up to 71 mph and flashed a changeup at 72 mph, tends to drop slot but creates some tumble action. Fields the ball out front in the infield with to hands, lower slot on throws, quick release with a full arm action, overall footwork will continue to improve. Receives the ball out front behind the plate, young actions, longer take back, strides open with lower half coming out of crouch. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a double toe tap for timing at the plate. Lowers hands during load, short swing through the zone and gets uphill at times. Strength to hands and can impact the baseball, shows carry off the barrel when squared and battles at the plate.
