Niko Santamaria is a 2019 OF/1B/RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends Valencia HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to ball with footwork and generates momentum through the ball, fields out front and shows fluidity to actions, full arm action and gets on top of the ball, utilizes a high crow hop and shows arm strength and carry out of hand, clean actions and repeats them well. Lefthanded hitter, begins with square stance at the plate, simple without many moving parts. Full swing path through the zone and does a nice job of getting extended and shows quickness to hands. Shows loft to plane, shifts weight well and gets behind the ball at point of contact, shows carry to the opposite field. Good student.
