Jake Goolsby is a 2021 1B/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Springville, AL who attends Springville. Large and sturdy frame with present strength. Ran a 7.65 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, took reps sitting back on the baseball, fields the baseball with developing hands, makes the turn to second base with developing footwork, young actions that will improve with additional reps at the position. Lefthanded hitter, sets up to hit with a narrow base and an open stance, leg lift trigger as hands stay tight to his body, balance to stroke with promising impact strength, very consistent round of batting practice hitting the ball hard to the pull side, looks to pull for power with the ability to do so. Outstanding student.
