Jimmy Starnes is a 2019 RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends IMG Academy. Slender athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Drifting delivery that leaves his arm behind at times, made adjustments to slow his pace and stay back effectively, quick and loose arm action coming through. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, mostly straight with occasional running life. Big sweeping curveball with good depth, can get over it better for more two-plane shape. Good athlete who projects if he can get stronger. Verbal commitment to West Virginia.
