Carson Gilley is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Smiths Station, AL who attends Russell Co. Youthful frame with athletic looks. Ran a 8.21 second sixty yard dash. Primary second basemen, balanced footwork with mechanics present, showed some fast twitch actions with great hands, quick transfer as well getting the ball out quickly to his target, accurate arm from all angles. Righthanded hitter, showed an even base pre-pitch, small toe tap and then works into a big leg kick, strong lead hand at the plate creating some lag, worked the middle of the field with some pop to the gaps as well. Outstanding student.
