Colin Blanco is a 2018 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Golden Gate HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean build with room to fill throughout, projects with additional strength. Primary righthanded pitcher, full arm action coming through the back, works to an over the top release point and when on time works on top of ball and creates plane to fastball. Shows extension out front, topped out at 79 mph, mostly true in life with occasional run to the arm side. Lands slightly closed with foot strike, projects with additional lower half drive to plate. Nice overall rhythm and can repeat, stays around the zone with fastball, showed a curveball at 66 mph with 11-5 shape, slows arm slightly through back and at release, short depth when on top. Flashed changeup with short fading life at 72 mph. Excellent student.
