Michael Robinson is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Elizabethton, TN who attends Elizabethton High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.26 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fielded the ball clean, lower arm slot, accuracy across the diamond, and arm strength up to 81 mph. At the plate, started with an even stance, hand set away from body, active hand set, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Showed good extension and created leverage through lower half. Intent to drive the ball with hips that clear. Smooth swing with good bat speed. All fields approach with ability to find the barrel. Will continue to develop power with additional strength.
