Devin Sweeney is a 2020 LHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Yardley, PA who attends Pennsbury HS. Tall and slender athletic build, projects well physically. Works from the stretch with drop and drive mechanics, gets down the mound well with good lower half use, medium length arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and loose coming through. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, shows nice arm side running action, works low in the zone and has the ability to work to the corners with his fastball. Curveball has good power up to 71 mph, tight 1/7 spin with sharp biting action at times, showed some feel for his change up. Difficult to hit when he's mixing his pitches, solid present stuff with a good chance to keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
