Pierson Lewis is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Starke, FL who attends Keystone Heights HS. Lewis has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he plays back on balls in the outfield and he has a big gather on his throws. Lewis has developing outfield actions and he has an upright release. Lewis has arm strength up to 76 MPH with a short arm action. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance with an upright set up. He uses a rock back load and has a hand hitch at load. Lewis throws the barrel to the baseball and has a line drive plane. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He throws three pitches for strikes and his curveball has some depth. He showed good feel for his change up with sink and fade to it. Good student.
