James Ramsey is a 2008 2B/3B with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Alpharetta, Georgia, who attends Wesleyan High School. Ramsey has a strong body with good present strength. He has solid footwork defensively with the ability to get in position to make the routine plays. Ramsey has an accurate arm with his throws all on target. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from an open and upright stance. He takes a short stride staying balanced through his swing and he gets leverage at the point of contact. Ramsey has good bat speed through the hitting zone with a line drive swing plane. He makes consistently solid contact with the ability to hit to all fields. In game action he uses his hands well showing the ability to make adjustments. Good upside with the bat, and he is an excellent student as well.
