Colby Fanning is a 2021 RHP with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Dover, FL who attends Strawberry Crest HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Leg raise delivery with a short stride to the plate, 3/4's arm slot, can use his lower half more to help create velocity. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, gets good running life at times, works his fastball to all quadrants of the zone with good command. Curveball has a slurve type break and will flash sharpness at times, tends t get under the pitch from the stretch. Showed a rare change up that has potential and can be thrown more. Has an idea how to pitch and fills up the zone. Right handed hitter, has a short and quick line drive swing and an aggressive swing approach, shows the beginnings of some bat speed. Good student.
