Jalan Daniels is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends West HS. Large frame with very strong, very physical build. Strong throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.33 seconds. Primary pitcher, delivery has exaggerated back turn deception, a la Johnny Cueto. Shows numbers to hitter and hides ball well, uncoils well and does a good job, for the most part, of getting back online to the plate with balance. Powers downhill well with good lower half usage. Creates solid angle to the plate, FB worked 83-86 MPH and touched 87. Solid arm side run with occasional sink as well. Slider worked best in the 73-74 range, shows very good tilt and sharpness at it's best. Hits from open stance, swing has leverage with the potential for serious juice. Flashed power, driving a few off the monster in LF. Swings it hard and generates strength at contact. Has solid first step in the IF, fields ok with hands and shows off excellent arm strength across up to 85 MPH. Projects best on the mound overall. Named to 2015 National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect List.
