Dalton Phillips is a 2019 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Southaven, MS who attends DeSoto Central HS. Medium and projectable frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.75 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the baseball out in front with two hands and a wide based gathering position, showcased athletic movements around the bag and a loose arm with developing arm strength. Secondary righthanded pitcher, simple turn step to begin delivery, stays tall on his backside as he comes down the mound, releases from a 3/4 arm slot, fastball topped out at 70 mph with frequent sinking action, mixed in a sweeping slider in the low-60s. Righthanded hitter, sets up in an upright stance with a high hand set, hands flashed quickness working on a downward plane to the baseball, torques his hips some into swing with present strength off of the barrel when squared. Outstanding student.
