Branden Abreu is a 2018 2B/SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Southridge. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.33 seconds. Sets up to hit from open-based stance, does a good job closing off front hip in stride, draws hands back into slight arm bar and shows smoothness to swing throughout. Middle-field approach, did a good job working to the opposite field consistently as well. Mostly line drive contact; will drive the ball better with increased strength. Very good in the infield, swivels hips well and looks athletic throughout actions. Fields cleanly in all directions and makes quick transfers, showed quality arm strength across the diamond as well, clocked up to 81 MPH on throws. Excellent student.
