Moore is a slender and projectable 6-2, 170 lb senior pitcher from Virginia. He has a quick, loose arm that gets good extension both front and back but tends to open early like many young pitchers and leave his arm behind in his delivery. He could pick up more velocity right away by making some adjustments. Moore’s fastball was 81-83 mph and it looks like there’s more there with better mechanics. He also threw a 64 mph curveball and 64 mph change up during his 3 innings of work. Moore is an also a switch hitter who plays the infield and runs a 7.23 60. He showed college level bat speed and power potential from the right side with an attacking, aggressive swing and should be followed as a hitter as well. Moore’s swing from the left side had less flow and raw bat speed but could still develop as a tool. Good student.
