Matt Gluck is a 2020 2B/SS with a 5-5 135 lb. frame from Califon, NJ who attends West Morris Central. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional size and strength. Ran a 7.46 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with quick, athletic footwork while ranging for and rounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front with fluid exchanges through transfer. Generated good momentum towards the bag and got the baseball out very quickly from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced on line carry to the bag topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and leg lift trigger. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Swung with intent and aggressively turns the barrel to contact on lifted plane through extension. Repeated path and plane well while maintaining balance through finish despite aggression. Created hard, loud contact between the gaps when on time and squared. Good student as well.
