Peter Grouios is a 2007 RHP with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Toronto ON, who attends East York Collegiate Institute. He has a short, compact build and very good present strength. It looks like Grouios is a serious weight lifter by his look but he's done a nice job staying loose and flexible. On the mound, he has a compact arm action and simple, balanced delivery. He does a good job of hiding the ball and creating deception for the hitter. Grouios throws his fastball 75-79 mph and turns it over for some sinking and running action. His best pitch is a big breaking downer curveball at 64 mph that was hard for hitters to make solid contact with. Grouios also showed a 71 mph slider and 67 mph change up and mixed up his pitches effectively. He threw strikes and had an idea on the mound. Grouios doesn't project much but does a lot of things well as a pitcher. He is a good student.
